What I look like prior to the start of class ... Sane :-)

So here we are just a few days from the start of class!
This should be very interesting since I have not been
back to school since graduating 11 years ago :-0

Ernesto is due to dump a nice amount of rain on us - mowed the yard before this post - hopefully it won't ruin our cookout plans this holiday weekend.

Signing off for now - until then, Hasta luego!

Nice start, Mike.

The Army-Navy game hasn't been very competitive lately. Navy has won the last 4 times and last year, Navy won 42–23 over at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. However, overall, Navy leads the series by a slim margin: 50-49-7.

My wife works over at Bethesda Naval so she is a Navy fan. As for me, I'm always for the underdog.

Yes - the scores do indicate a lack of competitiveness, but never the less the game is always emotionally taxing and intense to graduates from both Academies :-)

If you ever get the chance - check out the book "A Cil War" by John Feinstein. A review of this book is at the following link:

I checked out the link to the "Civil War" book. Interesting. It sort of reminds me of the old Cowboys-Redskins rivalry where either team can have a losing season but it does not matter as long as they defeated their bitter rival.

monica,

Yes - work experience will be a plus :-)

I think having to relearn time management with a wife & 2 kids is what will make it interesting.

les,

You bet :-) My Plebe year we only won ONE game. Guess which one it was? The rest of the Fall semester was so much better beating Army - the upperclass eased up on us alot!

If you only see one victory, it better be Army.
